Charles Shuster is the Treasurer of the Gila/Rio Grande Chapter based in Las Cruces and acts as the secretary for the Council. He learned to fly fish growing up in Northern Ohio but it wasn’t until he moved to New Mexico in 2002 that he really began to hone his craft. He is a Professor and Department Head of Biology at New Mexico State University and is dedicated to the restoration of habitat for Southern New Mexico’s native Gila trout.
